According to GitHub, PR AI Scan is generally available to complement CodeQL coverage. Findings are advisory and cannot fail scanning checks or block merges. It does not run on fork pull requests or those created by Dependabot.

- Public repositories are eligible; private and internal organization repositories need Code Security or Advanced Security. No Copilot license is needed, but scans consume Code Security AI Credits. [\[1\]](#hot-source-1)
